RSPB/CIWEM Living Wetlands Award
The Living Wetlands award was established in 2004 in memory of Geoff Mance, Director of Water Management at the Environment Agency. The aim of the Award is to recognise multi-functional projects that demonstrate the sustainable use of wetland habitats.

Green Apple Awards
The Awards started 12 years ago, with categories only for councils. This was followed by a separate category for wastes Management, supported by the Chartered Institution of wastes Management. Demand soon forced us to introduce a sector for Commerce and Industry, and in the last five years, a scheme for International entries.

Liveable City Awards
The Awards were established in 2001, the awards ceremony held on 16th February 2005 was the fourth we have held. The awards have grown year on year, not only increasing the number of applicants (85 applications were received for the 04/05 awards), but expanding the number of partners, from an initial base of 7, to its current number of 16. As the awards have matured, they have evolved, expanding their geographical scope to Greater London and beyond, and refining their focus.

The Business Commitment to the Environment Awards
The Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards iis one of the of the world’s oldest environmental awards. It was founded in 1975 and for over a quarter of a century, BCE has recognised and promoted environmental best practice across a wide spectrum of British Business.

Wales Environment Awards
The Wales Environment Awards were launched in 1998 and have grown from a single venue event with 5 individual award categories to a twin venue event with 17 individual award categories! Since May 1999 the awards ceremony has been hosted simultaneously, and linked by satellite communications, at 2 venues located in both North & South Wales – this was probably the first time that such an approach had been taken in an awards event and clearly was instrumental in reaching a wider audience across the whole of Wales

IChemE Awards
Celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2003, IChemE Awards have expanded considerably since the original idea was sparked in 1993. Then there was only one award “for excellence in safety and environment in the process industries”: the Cremer & Warner medal. Now there are at least eight, all with a different emphasis, although the medal remains pre-eminent. They aim to encourage innovation and reward success in the process industries.
